Dragon Dojo Martial Arts®
Policy
Conduct:
1. Gum, tobacco, food, drinks are strictly prohibited. Students may
bring one drink.
2. Profanity of any kind will not be tolerated.
3. Students may talk quietly (whisper) before class.
4. No talking is allowed while students are in class.
5. Students are expected to remain for the entire length of class.
6. When entering the dojo, students will bow in (this includes black
belt students).
7. When leaving the dojo, students will bow out (this includes black
belt students).
8. The most advanced belt will watch for the instructor and will
yell “Shihan Rei” or “Simpa Rei” when the instructor enters the
dojo.
9. Upon entrance of the instructor, students will stand, bow and
yell “Sir” or “ma’am.”
10. The most advanced belt will line the students up by rank at
class time.
11. Respect your fellow students.
12. Remove your shoes before entering the dojo training area
13. Sign in before each class.
14. Do not be late for class.
15. Do not gossip.
16. Do not judge others.
17. Do not wear a hat inside the dojo.
18. Do not chew gum in class.
19. Do not leave your personal belongings at the dojo.
20. Do not pick up any equipment, weapons, or books without asking
Shihan or Simpai first.
21. Do not use Shihan’s phone or sit at his desk.
22. Do not lean on the walls or sit down during class unless
stretching.
23. If you see something wrong or out of place in the dojo, fix it.
24. You are welcome in the dojo as in your home; respect it as such.
25. ALL STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING THE DOJO CLEAN AND MUST
TAKE PART IN CLEANING AFTER CLASSES!
Uniforms and Equipment:
1. Black uniforms are required for adult class.
2. White uniforms are required for kids classes.
3. Advanced youth may wear black gi pants.
4. Uniforms must be clean and pressed.
5. T-shirt or sports bra may be worn under the uniform. T-shirt or
sports bra must match uniform or color of current belt.
6. Black belt students may wear black, white or a combination of
black, red and white.
